NOTES: This project plays a role in life’s community   it is an income generating The overall project’s target group is selected to ten poor farmers from rural areas, with an aim to provide them with additional sources of income and reduce their insecurity. Our focus was vulnerable and marginalized groups. Selection criteria are consider all gender groups and will ensure that bee farmers are selected from all groups from the conservancies and community forestry areas. Vulnerable and marginalized groups will receive priority as this project seeks to improve their livelihoods through the selling of honey and employment creation.

This is towards increasing honey production for greater incomes and better livelihoods. It is well accepted that beekeeping trainings can offer people a way of generating additional income. Beekeeping traning also offers wider  advantages such as pollination services that promote food security and biodiversity protection. However, beekeeping is not always easy.*The action plan very much depends on the weather conditions and other environmental factors, we have organized some training and park demonstrations with beneficiaries. The training had an important role in the competence development of good standards of beekeeping and husbandry in order to minimize pests and disease risks to the honey bee.  In order to promote and improve bee health, it is important that beekeepers develop skills and knowledge to manage honey bees effectively. Training played a huge part in a beekeeper’s education and gaining experience, since women groups are the key and the elements of it which is important and necessary because you have to have some idea of how to manage bees and what to do to keep their habitat healthy as well as ways to keep pests from overtaking the hives and killing your honeybees. There are a lot of steps involved in the proper education and training of a beekeeper and what you’re looking for is someone who is serious and dedicated to a way of life that’s been a tradition in some families for generations.

The trainings are organized by the group leader and training delivered by the experts.
